    Parents and Citizens Association
    The Parents and Citizens Association meet in the school staffroom on the first Wednesday of each month during school terms. Meetings are held at 7.30 pm.

    The P & C provides an excellent platform for parents to participate in school life, understand the programs that are implemented and to actively participate in decision making.

    Recent contributions to the school learning programs have included:
    * Investing In Our Schools Funding (IIOS), which has achieved the multi-function court, air conditioning of the hall, new rainwater tanks and resurfacing the school oval;
    * 10 new computers for the school computer lab;
    * 3 electronic whiteboards for the classrooms;
    * Reading resources;
    * Musical instruments;
    * Mathematics equipment; and
    * Classroom resources.

    Uniform Shop
    All school uniforms can be purchased from the "Uniform Shop" which is located behind the Assembly Hall and is open for two days per week. As these days change periodically, please consult with the school office to check opening days and times.

    For those parents who have difficulty obtaining a uniform, a secondhand pool
    operates also from the uniform shop and most items are available. No child need attend school out of uniform. We make a special request to all parents to help us in our efforts to develop a school pride in the wearing of the uniform. Children should always be neat and tidy.

    Canteen
    The school has a canteen which operates each day. Voluntary help is always sought. The canteen is operated as a sub-committee of the schools P & C Association.
    At recess children do their own buying, looking after their own money.
    To order lunch, please write order, name and class clearly on the outside of a paper bag. Put money in an envelope or wrap and place in the lunch bag. To avoid contamination of food do not put money loosely into lunch order bags. Lunch orders must be in the class baskets by 9.15am.  Do not order ice blocks, etc with lunch. These items can be bought directly fromt he canteen. The canteen is a healthy food canteen and the menu reflects the healthy food philosophy. For the canteen menu click here. This has been updated in Term 2, 2008.

    Oakville OOSH (Out of school hours care)

    In response to community needs, a subcommittee of the P & C Association has been set up and manages a Before, After and Vacation Care Centre in the white demountable building near the teachers carpark.

    Our aim is to create a friendly, caring

    safe environment that will foster each child’s emotional, physical, social and creative development at the same time nurturing self-esteem.

    We provide high quality care for primary school children K – 6. A balanced program has been implemented that is stimulating, interesting and allows for individual children to explore and develop new skills through a range of activities both indoor and outdoor, such as arts and crafts, sports and games, gardening, imaginative and creative play. We encourage good behaviour through praise and positive reinforcement.

    A parent’s handbook can be obtained from the centre detailing fees, etc.

    If you have any enquiries or wish to enrol your child, please call OOSH direct on the
    number below. This is not the main school phone number. O2 45 72 3457
